First trimester benefits

Pregnancy massage in the first trimester offers support at a time when your body undergoes profound changes and your emotions can be overwhelming. And massage is a great way to reduce some of the physical symptoms of early pregnancy such as nausea, swollen breasts and extreme tiredness!

Second trimester benefits

In the second trimester massage can help with heavy legs and tightness in the lower back. It will also help correct any postural weaknesses that may begin to show as the extra baby weight puts strain on your body.

Third trimester benefits

The third trimester tends to be the most physically demanding and massage at this time can bring much-needed relief to tight bum muscles, hips and legs as well as relief from anxiety. It can help with tiredness that is common during this trimester too. It is a great time to begin to learn to deeply relax and train your mind to let go and that way massage is aiding your readiness for the labour.

Postnatal recovery

Massage for postnatal recovery can help you relieve stress and will support your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles to get back in shape. It will allow you, as a new parent, space for emotional processing and will help process any trauma that may have been experienced during birthing.

Treatments will take place in a comfortable position, taking into account your changing body.
